Originally written and demo'd as early as 1992, there are many attempts to record this in my tape archive (see bonus cuts). This final and best version was largely recorded in May 1996. Vocals added in October 1996 (see bonus track) guitars in the middle added in September 1998. Then, just prior to it's release on this album, some extra guitars and handclaps were by transferring the 4 track tape to a 12 track digital machine in July 2001. I guess it took nearly 10 years to complete this song!
When SideBmusic re-issued the album in 2007, "Real" became the single used to promote it. Hence we cut together a video filmed at The Cavern In Liverpool and Rock City in Nottingham. youtu.be/VuakaroJnG0
