about

Admittedly, this one is widely available on the compilation "Del Shannon,Songwriter vol1". However it hasn't appeared on a Richard Snow album , so we thought we'd stick it on here. Originally recorded in March 2002 for inclusion on the proposed Del Shannon Tribute CD, it was (so I hear) given the thumbs up for inclusion by Ex Stones Manager and Producer, Andrew Loog Oldham. The rough CD-r cut I heard of the album in 2003 also featured Jeff Lynne and rumour was that Tom Petty was going to contribute a track. For various reasons the project was on the shelf for 10 years, Petty didn't contribute and the Jeff Lynne song had already been issued as a bonus track on an ELO CD by 2013 so couldn't be used. But happily my cover of this Del Shannon B Side (of Stranger In Town) still made the final cut.

Recorded on 12 track digital at Richard's home studio, except for drums recorded in church hall in Bestwood
