about
Recorded May-June 1995. I became smitten with this Ray Davies song after hearing Cher's (sonny bono produced) 1965 version on her first solo album. After recording a track similar to Cher's version, both Phill and I both had a go at recording lead vocals. My version, featured here did see the light of day on the Enellen cassette album "Millennia" in 1995 but has since been unavailable.
Recorded on cassette 4 track in May 1995, then transferred to 1/4" 4 track for vocal overdubs in June 1995
