about
"Coming Soon" (as released on "Richard snow" & Enellen's "Millennia" cassette album) was recorded in autumn 1994. But it presented a bit of a challenge to play live for a 3 piece band. This recording shows how we used to play it live. However , it isn't in fact live, it is as much a studio creation as the original version. The reason for this recording? Justin Monkton had joined the band on drums at this point. His former band Neverland was invited onto BBC Radio Derby to discuss the band ending and to play recordings of their future projects. Hence we hastily recorded "live style" versions of Coming Soon, Fishspeaker, Girls On The tube and a song of Phill's called "She Don't Care". radio derby played "Girls On the Tube" and the same recording was later issued on the album "Richard Snow". This version of "Coming Soon" did appear on a cassette given out to a few attendees at an Enellen gig at the London Astoria in March 1996, but is other wise unissued!
Recorded onto 1/4" 4 track tape. 1.3.96
